ROME — An Italian coast guard official says rescuers heard the shouts of of two survivors aboard a cruise liner that ran aground off Tuscany a day earlier and are looking for the man and the woman.
Coast guard officer Marcello Fertitta tells The Associated Press that firefighters heard distinct shouts, one in a male voice and one in a female voice, aboard the Costa Concordia.
Rescuers had been searching the ship for close to 40 people still unaccounted for after the ship ran aground.
