Maruti Swift Dzire CS coming out of wraps on February 1st, 2012. The No. 1 car maker of India has chopped the boot of Maruti Swift Dzire to bring out a new Maruti Swift Dzire Compact Sedan. Now, it is evident that in order to lure customers with cheaply priced cars, Maruti Suzuki has joined the bandwagon of shortening the length of its car. Just like Tata Indigo CS, Swift Dzire sedan will also be brought under 4 metre now. This will allow the car-maker in India to cut the price of new Maruti Swift Dzire CS by a considerable margin because Indian government charges less excise duty on sub-4 metre cars. Better known as Swift 3.99 and priced at an estimate of Rs 5 lakh-Rs 5.50 lakh, this sedan will be based on Swift hatchback platform and will house the same 1.2 L K 12 petrol engine and 1.3 L DDiS Multijet diesel engine sourced by Fiat. An automatic version will also be available on petrol guise.
