X Factor Shakeup: Simon Cowell Fires Nicole Scherzinger, Paula Abdul & Host Steve Jones thoughts Steve Jones Axed From X Factor USA Reports say that Mr Simon Cowell has given the pink slip to Steve Jones, Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul. He is apparently not satisfied with his X Factor USA staff. It was said Steve Jones confirmed news of his departure by posting a message on his Twitter account.Reports say He wrote 'I wont be hosting next seasons XFactor which is a shame but I cant complain as I've had a great time. Good luck to everyone on the show.'It was said insider thoughts that producers had expected Abdul to be the "goofy" one on the show, but "was so bad that it made none of it work. Nicole was let go as well after the season ended, she said at an "X Factor" press conference that the job was much tougher than she had anticipated according to reports. Seems like the only two on-camera personalities returning will be Cowell and fellow judge and music mogul L.A. Reid.
