On Wednesday 22 February 2012, Ash Wednesday and also Shambhala Day, the Court of Appeal handed down it judgment dismissing the appeal of Occupy LSX against the Eviction Orders granted to the Corporation of London. During the speeches given by Occupiers and Defendants Dan Ashman, George Barda and Tammy Samede, a passionate speech is given by a person unknown. He ends by saying "Are we asleep? Are we dead?". He then collapses and, because of the timing with his saying "Are we dead?" everyone thought it was part of an act. But in actual fact, he had fainted at that very moment. Paramedics were called and an ambulance. Micheal is his name. It highlights the fragility of all of us.
