Suzanne and Adam discuss the Martin Luther King Jr. and the Civil War. The Civil War didn't deal with the underlying issues of white supremacy and racism. We tell the story of the civil war as if it was about state's rights, but it was really about slavery. Emphasizing state's rights allows us to mythically hide the issue of slavery, white supremacy, and racism under the rug. Are we still hiding those issues under the rug?
