Monterrey.- Los estudios de ADN confirman que los restos encontrados junto al avión accidentado el pasado domingo en el norte de México pertenecen a la cantante Jenni Rivera y hoy fueron entregados a sus familiares, informó la fiscalía del norteño estado de Nuevo León. "La Procuraduría General de Justicia del Estado de Nuevo León informa que fueron entregados a sus familiares los restos de Dolores Janney Rivera Saavedra, en el Servicio Médico Forense, dependiente de la Dirección de Criminalística y Servicios Periciales", apuntó en un comunicado. La procuraduría señaló en la misiva que dicho procedimiento "está sustentado con evidencia científica y el reconocimiento físico de los familiares de la occisa, quienes comparecieron ante la autoridad para realizar el trámite correspondiente". La fuente no especificó si fue a su hermano Lupillo Rivera a quien le fueron entregados los restos de la artista, pero es él quien llegó a la ciudad para reconocer los restos y depositar su ADN para dichas pruebas. Las autoridades estatales anunciaron que también fueron realizados los exámenes de ADN a los otros seis pasajeros que perdieron la vida el pasado domingo en un accidente aéreo en el poblado de Iturbide, en el sur del estado. Los restos de la cantante Jenni Rivera fueron llevados por sus familiares a la funeraria Guadalupe Premier, ubicada en el centro del municipio de San Nicolás, que pertenece al área metropolitana de Monterrey, en donde fueron cremados. She took a bullet for her kids. Teacher Victoria Soto used her body to shield her students from the maniacal gunman who staged a massacre at a Connecticut school, relatives said Saturday. Soto paid for her bravery with her life. But in doing so, the 27-year-old saved her first-graders from the murderous wrath of Adam Lanza — and became a hero. "The family received information she was found shielding her students in a closet," Soto's cousin, Jim Wiltsie, told the Daily News. "She put herself between the gunman and her students." Wiltsie said the family was told of Soto's heroism at Sandy Hook Elementary School by police. "I'm very proud to report she was a hero," said Wiltsie, who is a police officer in Fairfield, Conn. "I would expect nothing less from Vicki. Instinctively her training kicked in. She did what she was trained to do, but also but her heart told her to do."
